The 2M Center, also known as the Malcolm-Martin Center, was established in March of 1999 as a community-based non-profit 501 (c)3 organization with a mission to support, strengthen and create youth and family based initiatives through the use of technology, art, culture, and education. The Center was created in honor of slain civil rights activists Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr., and will carry on their legacy of concern for poor and disenfranchised communities and their efforts towards individual and community empowerment and self-expression.

The 2M Center, based in Washington, DC’s Wards 7 and 8, specifically addresses digital divide issues and technology access for underserved and low-income residents East of the River through creative youth programming, advocacy, and training.
